Security glazing upgrades
Laminated and security glass upgrades
Ordinary glass shatters and clears an opening. Laminated glass has an interlayer that holds it together when broken, slowing or stopping entry. Upgrading the most vulnerable panes is one of the most effective physical security improvements you can make.

Types of security glazing
Laminated glass is rated by how much attack it resists, under BS EN 356. We will recommend a level suited to the risk and the frame, and replace the sealed unit or single pane as needed.
Upgrades, not repairs
We fit glass as a security upgrade. If you need broken glass replaced, our parent company Essex Door & Window Repairs handles glass repairs.
Questions we are often asked
Can laminated glass go into my existing uPVC door or window?
Usually yes. We measure the existing unit and replace it with a laminated sealed unit of the same thickness.
