Lock upgrades to anti-snap and insurance-approved standards
Many uPVC and composite doors still have the cylinder they were fitted with, and many of those can be snapped in seconds. We assess the whole door, then upgrade the cylinder, lock and handles to a recognised standard.

What we upgrade
- Euro cylinders to anti-snap, anti-pick, anti-bump and anti-drill designs rated TS007 3-star or Sold Secure SS312 Diamond
- Mortice locks on timber doors to BS3621, the usual insurance standard
- Worn or basic multipoint locks to stronger mechanisms with hook bolts and anti-lift features
- Handles to security handles that protect the cylinder face
- Commercial cylinders, nightlatches and deadlocks for shops and offices
Why the standard matters
A rated cylinder has been attack-tested. Anti-snap designs break at a sacrificial line under attack, leaving the locking part in place so the door stays locked.
Insurers often specify lock standards in the policy wording. If yours does, we will fit to that standard and leave you a note of what was installed.
How it works
- Tell us about the doors, or send photos of the lock and the edge of the door
- We confirm the right sizes and give a fixed price
- We fit on an agreed date, test every key and lock, and take the old ones away
Questions we are often asked
How do I know if my lock is anti-snap?
Look for a kitemark with stars or the Sold Secure Diamond logo on the face of the cylinder. If there is no marking, assume it is a basic cylinder. We can check on a survey.
Will you match the lock to my existing keys?
