Window Mechanisms

An espagnolette locking system (espag) is the metal strip which runs up the side of the window sash and engages with the keeps on the frame when the handle is turned. When an espag fails the espag will usually completely seize up causing the window to stay locked even once the handle has been turned. Although it may seem like an impossible task to open the window, rest assured this a problem that we deal with day-to-day and can usually repair on the same visit.
